RITA® Award-winning author Leah Ashton writes fast-paced romantic suspense and smart, modern contemporary romance. All her books feature strong heroines, deliciously heroic heroes and swoon worthy happily ever afters.
Leah lives in Perth, Western Australia with her gorgeous husband, two amazing daughters and the best intentions to meal plan and have an effortlessly tidy home. When she’s not writing, Leah loves all day breakfast, rambling conversations and laughing until she cries. She really hates cucumber. And scary movies.
Awards my books have won:
- 2020 Romance Writers of Australia R*BY (Romantic Book of the Year) Award (Romantic Suspense) for Out Run the Night
- 2014 Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Why Resist a Rebel?
- 2012 Cataromance Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Harlequin Romance for Secrets & Speed Dating
A bit more about me:
I sold my first book (Secrets & Speed Dating) in 2011, after winning the 2010 New Voices Competition, a world-wide competition run by Harlequin Mills & Boon. After writing nine books for Harlequin Mills & Boon and selling over 300,000 copies, I’ve decided to take a major change in direction and write romantic suspense! Romantic suspense was my first love as a reader of romance, and I’m super excited to be writing in my favourite genre now.
Some random, but important, things I love:
- The Fremantle Dockers
- Dirty Dancing (enough said), and specifically, Patrick Swayze
- The Breakfast Club
- Terminator (the first one)
- The Press Gang (oh, to write as well as Steven Moffat!)
- Suits (also specifically, Harvey (Gabriel Macht))
- Bold lipstick (current favourite is Mac Matte D is for Danger)
